Fire and Life Safety Training

SDi is pleased to be able to sponsor a comprehensive range of training sessions focussing on the low voltage industry in accordance with national codes and standards. Training sessions are held at locations across the country and enable the professional technician to obtain the relevant skills and qualifications to enhance their knowledge of fire and life safety systems.

Course Overview: NICET Level 1 & 2 Training

This is a 16 hour course conducted over 2 days. This course covers certification procedures and requirements, testing strategies, as well as the codes and their requirements for fire alarm systems. NFPA 72, the National Fire Alarm Code is a major focus of this training. NFPA 72 is the primary source for fire alarm requirements and plays a major role in the NICET test. The National Electrical code is also covered in detail as it relates to fire alarm systems as so is the National Life Safety Code (NFPA 101). Fire alarm systems design requirements are covered in this course. Additionally, the subjects required for Level 1 and Level 2 certification are covered in detail.

Training Goal:

Attendees will be able to take and pass the NICET Level 1 and the NICET level 2 certification exam.

This training course is intended for any professional involved in low voltagefire alarm systems work, or for those moving into the fire alarm systems segement including: installation, sales, service and management positions.
